Fantasy Football Week 5 Summary.

After an eventful week 5 in fantasy football, there have been some surprising players and some disappointing ones.

Booms:

Breece Hall: Had an exciting 97 rushing yards and 2 receptions for 100 yards that was paired nicely with a touchdown. The jets offense seem to be utilizing Breece Hall more and their offense seems to be better than it has in the last decade. Hall has taken the starting roll from Michael Carter and this production seems to be just the beginning of it.

Leonard Fournette: Had 56 rushing yards, and 10 catches for 83 yards and a touchdown. Fournette seemed to be more of receiver than a running back this past Sunday and it helped the Bucs to a solid win against the falcons. If he continues his large target share and receptions he will be very dangerous for the rest of the season.

Patriots defense: Patriots defense absolutely dominated the highest scoring offense in the Lions. They held them to 0 points while tallying 2 sacks, an interception, and a fumble recovery for a touchdown. This great performance gave them 22 points and shows they can be an every week starting defense for your league.

Gabriel Davis: Had 3 catches for 171 yards and 2 touchdowns. This was a boom performance with 2 huge plays that pleased fantasy owners. Coming off of 2 rough weeks, Davis was due for a big performance and he did just that.

Busts:

James Robinson: Had a concerning 10 carries for 27 yards and 2 catches for 12 yards. This is worrying because his counterpart Travis Etienne scored nearly 3 times as many points as Robinson. This is Robinson's second game of under 6 points in 2 weeks and fantasy owners are starting to worry.

Amon Ra St. Brown: Had 4 catches for 18 yards. In a game where the lion's offense struggled against a top defense, St. Brown got locked up. He didn't break 6 points, but that could be just because he was coming off missing last week due to an ankle injury.

Christian Kirk: Kirk only had 1 catch for 11 yards. This is very concerning because Trevor Lawrence has been incredibly inconsistent and Kirk has payed the price for it. Next is a tough matchup vs the colts and there is not much confidence for Kirk going into week 6.

Jalen Waddle: Had 3 catches for 23 yards and it was very disappointing. This is mainly because the Dolphins were without 1st or 2nd string Qbs. Although the Qb situation wasn't great, there was still a very positive game script as they were down all game and he still didn't produce.

Summary: Overall, there were a lot of players that exceeded expectations and a lot that didn't produce. Next week brings a chance at redemption for players such as Robinson and Kirk, and a chance to continue the production for players such as Hall and Fournette.
